Salesian Sisters – City of Hope

The school holiday is well underway at the City of Hope, but even though classes aren’t in full session, there is still plenty of activity.

Construction for the new school will not break during the holiday and the GART girls have a full activity schedule to keep them busy, from a Palm Sunday concert and extra production, to soccer training and reading time. The OCS is finishing up extra lessons for grades seven and nine and will reopen for all grades on 9 May.

The holiday also welcomes a provincial visit from Sr. Julienne Munyemba, as well as the visiting families of a few volunteers. Welcome!

Volunteer and Engineer Luciano has started the construction of the second block of classrooms for the new school. If the funds come through, we anticipate the whole school to be finished for the start of 2012!
